About this site

The Stair Society website has been designed to be as accessible to as many browsing devices as possible.

The site is constructed using HTML and CSS coding standards recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium and observes the Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative guidelines.

We have sought to ensure that the site's design will adapt to different screen sizes. So, for example, the design elements will be displayed in a linear fashion on modern smartphones and tablets, and be arranged side-by-side in columns when viewed on larger desktop screens.

Please do contact us if you have any difficulties accessing the site's content.

The site's content was written by The Stair Society. It was coded and designed by Lucent Web Design, a small web design studio located in the Scottish Borders, near Edinburgh. All photos are property of The Stair Society, unless specified otherwise in the image caption.

The design uses the Skolar Web and Myriad Pro typefaces, embedded using the Typekit web fonts service.
